hikarinonijiPart 3 of my on-going fanfic Best Rivals : D
It was late and he wasn't happy with it. Instead of being able to spend some time withYabu JUMP earlier this day, he was stuck in the big building all alone. And that all fore the sake of picking up his schedule for the upcoming month.
Childishly he mouthed some things such as 'stupid sensei and his stupid lectures' as he stomped trough the halls, in a great contrast to his normal so graceful self. But there was no one here who could see him this way, and he couldn't be bothered to look after his image right now.
No Inoo Kei wasn't happy right now, and the fact that Hikaru and Yabu had been spending quite some time with Yabu wasn't helping either.
For over the past few days the goofball had done nothing but muttering "iroiro iroiro" in Inoo's presence, fully aware of the fact that it pissed off the older boy.
"Stupid song, stupid show, stupid sensei, stupid lecture..."
"Not in the best mood today eh? Kei-chan?" He heard the most familiar voice from behind and unable to turn around to properly greet him because he was afraid his red cheeks would show, he just shook his head, "S-Something like that..."
The older boy laughed and placed his hand on his friends shoulder and patted it for a bit, leaving the place he just touched tinkle in a pleasant way and butterflies to awaken in Inoo's tummy.
"Did something happen today?" His voice was soft and empathetic.
"Ah, that... Yeah.. S-Somewhat. Lecture turned out to be longer than I thought it would be, so I was too late for picking up my schedule," the boy stuttered.
The other one laughed softly, "ah, that's why you weren't there want the rest picked it up. I already missed you.
H-He missed me?! He felt his cheeks getting flushed by the thought alone, and quickly turned his head away from the other.
In his head several scenario's took place, and he had no idea what was happening at the moment. He was Inoo Kei! A calm en reserved person! That why the hell did he get so uneasy when the other said little insignificant things to him?
He was freaking out a little, he was all alone with Yabu, and the latter seem to enjoy his company. Was this just a friendly gesture, or was there more behind this?
Inoo didn't know, and in his head he was debating with himself, just until he felt a slender arm around his shoulder and he heard Yabu's voice which felt really far away, while it in reality was only a few inches away from him.
"We should hang today! It's been quite a while, and ever since you entered collage we didn't really speak with each other about things other than work or school, now did we? Come on! I know a nice café in the neighborhood."
And with those words the older boy led Inoo towards the door, while happily yapping about all kinds of things.
Not that Inoo was listening to it. The boy was too busy collecting his right state of mind, he was supposed to be one of the few sane members of JUMP (and the rest of the jimusho for that matter)! He could handle this!
Slowly he started a conversation with his inner-self, who seemed a bit more relaxed than he was.
"What am I gonna do? What am I gonna do? What does this mean? Is this a date? DOES YABU LIKE ME? LIKE ME LIKE ME? LIKE I LIKE HIM?"
"First off all, get a grip of yourself Kei," his inner-self responded calmly, "his can mean everything and nothing at the same time. And there is only one way to find out..."
"And that is?"
"Kiss him. If he pushes you away you'll find out soon enough."
"WHAT? NO!" Inoo responded in his head, while he yelped a little.
"Something wrong?" Yabu interrupted his story and looked a little puzzled to his companion.
"N-No! Nothing! I just ehh.... Thought I saw a frog! And you are scared of frogs right? Aren't you Kota? Ahahahaha!" the younger boy nervously blabbered.
The tall boy grimaced, "yeah... Thanks for reminding me."
Inoo scratched the back of his head in utter embarrassment, and muttered, "sorry... Go on."
At the same time, the voice in his head muttered, "you could also just confess to him, and if he rejects you say it was a lie. Thanks to Takaki everybody knows of your stupid habit of coming up with stupid lies."
For the first time Inoo had the urge to buy Takaki flowers and a big lolly.
He cleared his throat, "S-Say Ko-chan..."
The older one looked at his friend, and for a moment Inoo felt like he drowned in those eyes who looked at him, questioning. "I ehh... You know... I..."
He just couldn't find the right words it seemed.
"You what? Is there something wrong Kei?" Yabu seemed concerned, but the fact that he called him with his first name made Inoo float on air and urged him to go on.
"I-I... Really like you Kota. And I always wanna be there for you. And I was wondering if you would do the same for me too."
The older boy blinked a few times and showed Inoo his brightest smile, "of course I'll always be there for you and if you ever need some one to help you out, don't hesitate and ask me! That's what friends are for isn't it?"
Inoo couldn't believe it, Yabu totally missed the confession here and thought this was nothing more than a friendly request. He was disappointed because the fact that the other had missed the whole point showed that he wasn't looking for a confession of sorts, but he was also a little relieved. It meant at least that he wasn't rejected or anything, maybe the older boy was just a little ditzy when it came to love.... And he didn't have to find a way to talk himself out of it. Maybe this situation was for the best. And even though he had lost this round, he hadn't lost the fight yet.
He smiled back at Yabu and nodded, "Un! Now, let's go to that café you were bragging about earlier!"
Finally I updated this fanfic : D
This chapter, and the next one who I have already written partly, were supposed to be one chapter, but I decided to make it two, because I think it'll be boring it it's too long XDD So yeah.. Anyway, Inoo confesses, and Yabu doesn't get the hint. Idiot. Love him though : D Next chapter will be about Hikaru again though, so don't worry YabuHika fans, he'll get his turn too : D
Also I have two other things I'd like to show here.
First of is a comic I made. And I'm planning to make more of them ^^
This one 'll need a little background info though, else it's not gonna be as funny, as I intent it to be. Okay so here it goes: whenever I'm looking up kanji I don't know for my translations, I call it kanji-hunting.
Now I can tell you. Kanji hunting is annoying. It's no fun at all >_> So, when you're me, and you have too much fantasy, you MAKE it fun. In my head I already saw myself running with a fishnet, looking for kanji : D And since the only one I thought would bestupid epic enough to join me in this. Is Inoo. In my head... Hikaru doesn't agree though. He says I'm corrupting his Inoo-chan. : D So yeah... My comics kind of show how HSJ would like if I would be involved with them. (and shows its a good thing they don't know me : D) I might let people do guest appearances if people like the comic.. But I don't know yet 8D let's see what the future brings...
Also, I've been experimenting with drawing and coloring. And I've drawn myself in a lame pose I stole from the back of one of my magazines (believe it was the Junon or something) The plushie is supposed to be Yabu. But I fail at plushies.
The kanji's say "Hikari no Niji"... And that's ... probably what I look like irl 8D But it has errors everywhere OTL Hope you like it anyway : D
